New Mayor, Linda Kadlec, has challenged the community to share their dream for Ritzville. Some really great dreams have been submitted. The Journal has printed many of the dreams and will continue to do so as long as they keep coming in.
What's your dream? Submit all of your dreams to the Ritzville Chamber of Commerce, City of Ritzville, or the Journal.
Together we can make a difference.

Bring in more revenue/business Ritzville. Ritzville has a rep of not wanting the town to grow, populate...keep it the way it's been some say. I think that this location is PRIME in location for business. Between 2 cities, off 3 hwys...great opportunities. Allow newcombers and make them feel welcome which is something Ritzville does not do very well. Many comment negatively on this town that visit or move in and then leave a year or two later. Stop referring to outsiders as "transplants" and open your minds that will increase job opportunity, town acknowledgement and revenue and friendships near and far. Make Ritzville popular for it's location and friendliness not for the unsmiling faces and feeling that newcombers are not welcome here. We need to bring in people that can make a positive change to the schools here, community and councel. Change is needed here. New Mayor, it's time for change not old ways of thinking.
